Following their acclaimed performances of Elgar’s The Music Makers, 2022, and Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony, 2024, both at Snape, Beccles Choral Society, Phoenix Singers and The Lambeth Orchestra continue their exploration of the masterpieces of romantic choral music with conductor Geoff Lavery in a performance of Elgar’s mighty choral work, The Dream of Gerontius, widely considered the composer’s greatest. The choirs and orchestra will be joined by:

Suffolk-born mezzo-soprano Diana Moore, whose voice is praised for its richness and emotional intensity, who is celebrated for her interpretations of Handel and Elgar, and a regular guest at major concert halls and festivals throughout the UK and beyond.

Internationally recognised Welsh tenor Andrew Henley who has performed as a soloist with companies including Opéra de Lyon, the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater, Staddtheater Klagenfurt, Wexford Festival Opera, Glyndebourne, Welsh National Opera, Scottish Opera and Opera North.

Former Cambridge University choral scholar bass Christopher Webb who has appeared as a soloist with the Monteverdi Choir and Dunedin Consort, and maintains a busy schedule of solo and ensemble singing in the UK and abroad alongside his role as a Vicar Choral of St Paul’s Cathedral.
